Whisky still number one in China!
In recent years, it is apparent that Scotch whisky (but not only) has surpassed the national beverage Baijiu. Although in terms of volume, whisky is not able to compete with the Chinese kind of vodka, but Scotch remains the most prestigious drink. Chinese officials have tried to promote baijiu among young Chinese, but this has not proved sufficient, so there is now a worldwide promotional campaign targeting also the younger generation showing this strong vodka (55-60%) as an ingredient in cocktails.
