Destylarnia Allt-á-Bhainne

Allt-a-Bhainne is a modern whisky distillery located in Glenrinnes, in the hills of the Speyside region. It was built in 1975 and is famous for modern solutions and production automation. Most of the production goes to the compilation of blended whisky brands managed by Chivas Regal.

Its name means “roasted milk” in Gaelic. Half of the whisky distilled here is produced from slightly peated malt, while the rest from unpeeled malt. Extremely rare single malt editions from Allt-a-Bhainne are characterized by the typical Speyside, light and ester taste. Some of the barrels produced here are matured in warehouses on the Islay island, which is why they have a sea, salty aroma.
