Aberfeldy teams up with an Argentinian winery for a new Malbec Cask Finish whisky!
The latest release in the Wine Cask Collection is Aberfeldy 21 Years Old Malbec Cask Finish, which was finished in casks from Argentina’s renowned Finca Ambrosia winery, located in the Mendoza region.
The whisky was first matured in bourbon and sherry casks, then finished for eight months in French oak barrels that previously held Finca Ambrosia’s organic Viña Unica red wine.
Stephanie Macleod, Aberfeldy's master blender, describes the whisky as “delicate yet complex," with notes of sweet toasted cereal, sage, ripe strawberries, and Aberfeldy’s signature Highland honey. The finish brings hints of blackcurrant, violets, and cinnamon, ending with a creamy vanilla and smooth texture.
Aberfeldy 21 Years Old Malbec Cask Finish (46% ABV) is available at the distillery shop and selected retailers worldwide, with a recommended price of £230.
