Glen Moray launches Phoenix Rising!
Speyside distillery Glen Moray has unveiled Phoenix Rising, a new single malt finished in virgin charred oak casks.
In homage to the phoenix, a mythical bird that burns as it dies and is reborn from its ashes, the Phoenix Rising single malt is finished in new charred oak casks – an unusual cask type for the Speyside distillery.
The bottle label and gift box feature bold fiery red hues and gold foil, representing the phoenix, contrasted against Glen Moray's signature dark blue.
This latest release continues Glen Moray's exploration of unusual cask maturations, following the launch earlier this year of Twisted Vine, a single malt fully matured in ex-Cognac casks.
