Destylarnia Ardnamurchan
It’s a newly opened Scotch whisky distillery. The opening of this distillery took place in June 2014 in Glenberg (Highland) by Adelphi, an independent bottler operating on the whisky market since 1826.
The distillery is located on Loch Sunart, on the Ardnamurchan Peninsula, and there is a visitor center next to the distillery. The building was designed to refer to the 19th century architecture of Scottish distilleries.
The distillery uses local barley and the water comes from mountain springs. Barley is malted with peat and without peat. Fermentation takes place in vats made of oak, it takes a minimum of 72 hours.
In 2016, the Ardnamurchan Spirit edition was released, the drink was bottled with 53% strength after two years of aging in the first filled hogshead casks after sherry oloroso and sherry pedro ximenez.
