Destylarnia Balvenie

The Balvenie Distillery is a distillery that was founded in 1892 by William Grant. Initially, the distillery was to be called Glen Gordon. The first distillation took place after a year. The owner really wanted the new whisky to be different from the previous one, despite the fact that he gets water and barley from the same sources as Glenfiddich. He managed to achieve this thanks to the alembics with longer necks and the fact that as much as 18% of the whisky is aged in sherry casks.
