Destylarnia Daftmill
The Daftmill Distillery was established when the Cuthbert family bought the Pitlair estate in 1984, which included, among others, Daftmill mill. Since 2003, the building has undergone a complete renovation, so that it could start producing whisky. At the same time, the Cuthbert family applied for a whisky production license. In 2005, a whisky production license was granted, and whisky production started in the same center at the Daftmill distillery.
The activities of the Cuthbert brothers are primarily agricultural, therefore whisky stripping takes place in this distillery when field work allows it. Whisky is produced here in two periods during the year. The Daftmill Distillery uses its own barley and the distillate is mainly aged in bourbon barrels.
