Destylarnia Glenfiddich

Founded in 1886 by William Grant, it remains in the hands of his heirs to this day. It is the only whisky in the Dufftown region produced from only one water intake. The entire production process, from distillation, through aging, to bottling, takes place on the premises of the distillery. The name Glenfiddich in Gaelic means “Deer Valley” and it is the distillery that owes the deer head in the logo.

Glenfiddich also owes a breakthrough in the Scotch whisky industry, because it was she who launched the first single malt whisky on the market dominated by blends in 1963. The company has become a leader and main exporter of single malts and introduced this species to the international market and to the wide awareness of consumers.
