Destylarnia Isle of Harris

The Isle of Harris Distillery is the first whisky distillery in the Outer Hebrides. The plant employs 20 people. The plans are to produce 300 thousand. Bottles of single malt whisky per year, and the first batch is to be as many as the inhabitants of Harris, i.e. 1916.

The company also plans to produce gin, which will be made using seaweed collected from the sea surrounding the island.

The distillery was established thanks to 17 investors from Europe, the USA and the Far East.
