Destylarnia Macduff

The Macduff Distillery is located on the River Deveron in the city of the same name. It is a modern building, but on the outskirts of the Banff agglomeration you can find the ruins of a demolished Macduff distillery that operated until 1983.

This distillery was established in 1962 as Glen Deveron Distillery by Brodie Hepburn, George Crawford and Marty Dyke. At the beginning, only two stills were used, and then their number was increased to three. At present, the distillery has two wash stills and three spirit stills.

Today the distillery is owned by John Dewar’s & Sons and can produce 3.5 million liters of alcohol annually.
