Destylarnia Teaninich

The Teaninich Distillery is located in the Northeast Highlands in Alness, on the Cromarty Firth. It is an area famous for the production of whisky - in the immediate vicinity of the Teanini there are, among others, Dalmore, Glenmorangie and Balblair. An interesting fact is that in the Teanini, instead of a mash tun, a filter press is used, which is traditionally used in beer brewing.

Despite the huge production capacity, which amounts to over 10 million liters per year, it is hard to get Teaninich whisky in the single malt version. Most of the production goes to blended whisky compilation. Releases from independent distributors are rare but appreciated by connoisseurs. Michael Jackson describes the style of this distillery’s whisky with the words “strong, toffee, spicy, leafy”.
