Benriach launches 1966 single cask whisky!
Benriach Distillery has just announced its oldest whisky to date — a 50-year-old single cask release! Only 37 bottles of this exceptional whisky are available.
The bourbon cask, filled on 21st September 1966, matured in Speyside for 50 years, marking the first Benriach expression to reach this age.
Each bottle is presented in a bespoke crystal decanter, accompanied by a handcrafted display box made by master craftsman John Galvin. The design is inspired by the eclectic range of casks that have matured in Benriach’s warehouses for decades.
Rachel Barrie, Benriach's master blender, commented: “Our distillery’s ability to nurture flavour comes from decades of experience with a wide variety of casks from around the world. Benriach 1966 Cask Aged 50 Years is the pinnacle of that expertise. Enjoy rich notes of honeyed dates, delicate oak spices, and the lingering finesse of apple, pear, and a hint of grapefruit.”
Benriach 1966 Cask 50 Years Old will be available in Asia from May 2024, followed by selected global markets from June to October. Price: £25,000
